[035] - LINK - Fire Temple
I finally finished “The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword” this weekend and was itching to work up a lil’ fan art as a personal reward. It’s such a beautiful and amazing game from the beginning to the epic end.
[034] - This Gal loves her GALD!
This Fan art of Rutee from the game “Tales of Destiny” was originally draw and colored way back in 2006 as an attempt to adapt the original character to my style of drawing at the time (that’s why the drawing is a little stiff and the colors more flat)… however I have never considered this a bad illustration and it was one of the first serious pieces of fan art I did for any “Tales” series game. Here I have given this piece a lil’ facelift with some updated color effects and lighting as well as the addition of her name.Rutee is such a fun character.. [033] - Turtle Head
This one was done right after “Turtle Smile” I guess at the time I was really in the mood to draw some turtles. LOL
[032] - Turtle Smile
This one’s pretty old but still, I think, has some charm
[031] - Post-it note heads
What can I say, I love sketching on Post-it notes they make a great tool for working up lots of characters quickly. The size limitations force me to keep things small and try to simplify details and line work to a clear form.
[030] - Unfinished and Proud of it
For whatever reason this sketch was left unfinished, however the construction lines and roughs for the figures were enough for me not to throw it out. Sometimes I find that under drawings have more energy than their polished cover. It’s the whole building block aspect to drawing I find intriguing and good practice to keep process works like this around to look back on and learn from yourself.
